What airport do we fly into?
For our wedding you would fly into Tirana International Airport.
When should I buy my flight?
Keep an eye on them as soon as possible, setting a tracking alert on Google is the best move. 6-3 months prior. Some guests will be flying into different countries prior to Tirana, would suggest getting in one day prior to the wedding.
Where should I travel to from Albania?
Get the most bang for your buck, fly into Spain, France, Croatia or Italy before or after the wedding, the world is your oyster! We are planning on driving down to Sarande after the wedding (beach town) its a scenic 3 hour drive from Tirana. We will set up transportation for whoever is interested in joining/ hotel block. What is the currency in Albania?
The currency is Lek (good to have for tipping, cabs, etc). They accept euros as well, a credit card is the best move for restaurants and convenient stores.
Transportation?
Uber does not exist there, but there is an App called "Speed Taxi Albania"--you can download this and use it for your taxi to the hotel, typically its $18-$20. If you prefer the hotel can also just call a taxi for you via Whatsapp. Cash is preferred, but Speed Taxi will also accept credit card. I would convert your dollars to Euro if possible.
Distance from the Airport or Tirana?
Tirana International Airport is around 20 minutes from center city Tirana depending on traffic. Perfect for people who plan on leaving directly after the wedding.
How far is the wedding venue from our Hotels?
30-35 minutes. We will set up a shuttle for our guests staying at the hotels provided, more details to come.

Tirana Marriott
There will be a room block at the Tirana Marriot for June 06-08. The rate is $163 euros a night which currently comes out to $189 US per night. If you wish to come earlier or stay later, please email the Marriott and they will open up the dates for you. This is where Dominick and I will be staying, we will provide a shuttle to and from the wedding venue, anyone who is staying nearby will just meet at the Marriott Sunday evening to take the shuttle. The website link is the reservation block, you must book through the block in order for them to honor the rate.
La Suite Boutique Hotel
Smaller cute hotel, 8 minute walk from the Marriott. Rates are more competitive, I would book them ASAP as there is only 12 rooms at this hotel so you at least have something in the books, cancellations are free.
Boutique Hotel Adelar
Also a smaller hotel with 16 rooms, more competitive rates than the Marriott and just a 5 minute walk.
Yacht Premium Hotel
Dominick and I will be continuing the fun with friends and fam in Sarandë!
If you book through Booking.com, free cancellation policy. The site might be cheaper as well, I've included the link.
If there is another hotel that suits you, feel free to book it since we do not have a wedding block here and they might book up fast. We choose this area due to its proximity to the downtown, several hotels and easy access to the ports for those interested in visiting Corfu, Greece. In regards to flying out, Corfu international airport will be great for people who are traveling to other countries in Europe, they do have flights back to Chicago, but they are pricier.
Other option is flying out of Tirana International Airport.
